Hawthorne was our very first location—Alex and I spent months tearing apart this old empty warehouse that eventually became the flagship. Since 1994 Hawthorne has been our pride, joy, and, well, laboratory. This is where we developed our house favorite peanut sauce, where we held our first Dogtoberfest, where we realized we might be able to make a living serving our friends good beer that we love to make.
The Hawthorne location features our traditional sandwiches, soups, bento boxes, and salads, along with 12 rotating taps of your favorite Lucky Lab craft beer. We also have a private party room with room for 60 people and a seating capacity of 45.
Come relax in our original setting, with high-trussed ceilings, our trademark rustic ambiance, and a great covered back patio for you, a canine, and a brew.

Hawthorne’s sixty-person capacity party room is the perfect spot for a casual party or a business function. The room has seating for forty-five, and includes a private bar with three Lucky Lab beers and wine.
Your guests may order food from our regular menu on a group tab or on an individual basis. You can also preorder items from our menu and have them served as a buffet. We often prepare platters of quartered Deli sandwiches along with fresh fruit and vegetable platters. We ask that any arrangements for our party menu items listed here be made at least two weeks in advance.
To reserve the private room call 503-236-3555 Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m and ask to speak with Erin, our Event Coordinator.
We will tentatively hold a space for two business days without payment, but in order to reserve you’ll be asked to submit the non-refundable rental fee.

$50 for daytime rental without bartender, Monday through Friday
$100 (without bartender)
$150 (with bartender)
$200 on Fridays after 5:00 pm

Availability: Any time during our regular hours of operation
Minors: Minors (including babies) are welcome until 9 p.m.
Other beer selections, soda, tea and coffee are available at the main bar.

Preordered sandwiches (same cost as regular menu prices $3.50 – $6.50 and can be quartered)
